how do you reset the device?

Assuming it's the same as the others (And I'm not 100% sure). Power off the screen, place a jumper in the middle position of the keypad, power on - this should reset the screen back to factory defaults.

Is there a way to telnet into the device to query some information?

Check your email for instructions on how to reload the memory.

hello i have a LK204-24-usb when i connect it to a new pc that has no driver it starts the load the first set of drivers and the second set at the end of it it says there was an error loading driver and will not load. IF i use a PC that has trhe driver I get the standard MO load screen but if LCDC tried to detect it then it doesnt. If i force the screen then the info is jumbled up. what can i do to fix this?

I got it fixed. The original problem was this screen was put to gether wrong. the compasitors were mounted backwards I got a replacment cap and mounted on correctly After talking to Matt he walked me through the reset It works like a champ.
