Lines 2 and 3 on the display are swapped?!

Post by techie »

OK so I have a MO VK-204-25 (wide voltage, serial VFD).

I set it all up and it works fine except one problem that is agravating as heck.

When I boot the computer and LCDC starts automagically lines 2 and 3 on the display are swapped.

If I stop the display and restart it in LCDC they are fine.

I've seen a couple similar posts (here or on LCDC's forums), but a solution was never presented publicly.

What's the deal? Is there a set of events I can use, or a line of commands I can send, to stop and restart the display via a keypad press or with the Sys-On Start event?

I have the right screen def file as best as I can tell :)

I've posted this on LCDC's forums as well as I'm not sure if it's a LCDC or hardware problem.

Also if I use Bootedit I seem to be able to only change the first two lines of the display's boot screen, this isn't a big deal, but a fix/suggestion for that would be cool too :)

Thanksin advance.
Cheers!

This isn't an MX series, so it does require you to me a little more in touch with the display now... RTFM ;)

Anyways, this display works line 1,3,2,4 by default, turn on AutoLineWrapOn and you should be good to go.

I read something about that AutoWrap along the way, but I think I had been led to believe it should be OFF. But hey, I don't even think I managed to find it. I'll have to dig a little harder. And where is it in TFM? ;)

And I don't think you want me touching you Henry ;)

Thanks I'll give it a shot and see what happens..
Cheers!

OK all is good. I set up a AutoLineWrapOn event through LCDC. Put one in for On Start and one in for Resume From Hibernation. Works like a charm now.

My Opus 90W DC->DC power supply comes today and hopefully I can start wiring this thing into the car this weekend (it only took a year ;) ).

Thanks again Henry.
Cheers!
