Which color LCD offers the highest contrast between the characters and the background? I need a 4 line display that is powered by the USB connector only so, a VFD is out of the question. This LCD will be at a distance so I need characters that are going to stand out.

Would the circuit for "Up Down detection circuit" work to output the rotation of the encoder into something the keypad input would see as a "button press"

Are there any plans to make any larger character displays? I am looking for the largest character size, something I can read from my sofa to the TV (about 15 feet).

I am trying to decide if I need to put the display in a box of its own on a fly lead or if I can leave it in the HTPC case.

Hey, I'm Looking for a green display. Not yellow/green just deep rich green. Same color as the cold cathode tubes or a little darker. What do you have in the way of a 20x4?
