Hey,
I'm Looking for a green display. Not yellow/green just deep rich green. Same color as the cold cathode tubes or a little darker.
What do you have in the way of a 20x4? Don't care if it is LCD or VFD with a filter, just green.
I searched the web site a couple of times and I didn't see anything. I also went through the gallery. Anyone got pics of a VFD with a green filter?
Thanks
Got Green?
Re: Got Green?
You can do it with a VFD and a green filter. I don't think a LCD will give you anywhere near the brightness you want. I'm totally sold on the VFD display and am really happy I decided to put out the extra $$$ for one over LCD.jace055 wrote: I'm Looking for a green display. Not yellow/green just deep rich green. I got my VFD in the other day and just folded a small piece of purple lighting gel between the VFD and the back of the plastic window. It's a beautiful deep purple/blue colour now. I have the intensity at 1 stop below minimum so it doesn't distract me while watching TV (it's my media player), and it's great!
Oddly enough, I grabbed a piece of thick green gel and tried it too, but for my application, I preferred the purple. Green was nice and bright though and it was 100% green.
