I've just checked my device manager and it appears that theres a exclamation mark over my vfd on com3?

The device status reads:
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I've just installed the latest USB driver for my VK202-24-USB and though its lights up ok, LCDC no longer seems to work with it? After some SERIOUS modding, I've finally got my nice VFD shoe horned into my itsy Shuttle 75G2. The VFD I have is a VK202-24-USB and I'm running XPpro SP2 However theres a problem. :( Sometimes the Shuttle does not detect the VFD and I cannot work out why?? I'm ploughing on with a mod I'm doing involving a VFD and my Shuttle <:) and I have a quick temperature related question. Basically do VFD's generate a lot of heat? I'm not looking for an exact number but do they generate a significant amount, say more then a hard drive? My VFD is a VK202-24-USB.
