Help! Is this burn-in mark normal??

Post by gizmo1990 »

Hi,

I've just recieved my lovely VK202-24-USB! :)

Before I think about connecting it up I have a query about the condition it arrived in? Looking at the display itself there appears to be a (fairly large as I see it) burn-in mark, is this normal?

As you can see its quite near the character display though should still be underneath the bezel I'm making. With continued use though I'd be worried if it was to 'grow' any larger and creep over? :eyebrow:

So normal or not?

Jim.

Very normal. It won't grow. It's actually left from the VFD manufacturing process. Every VFD we get has them. So don't worry about it :D

It's part of the grounding process the manuafacture uses. Good to go!! :D
