LK202-25-V & GPO's

Hi All

I have just Bought a LK202-25-V and now will probably ask the Thikkie of the week question.

If i want to Connect LED's to the GPO's can i just wire any standard 3 or 5 mm Led to the Pins (I will use Jumpers to attach them)or is the voltage output too great so that i would need resistors on the LED's.

Go ahead and plug them in... the GPOs are +5V @20mA....

It always confused me and still does to be honest.

I plugged a LED direct to the 12V supply on the molex connector once and BANG so i have always been a bit worried since then.

SO if i'd have plugged it into the 5V i wouldn't have had to dodge flying glass

PS. Got the display from http://www.kustompcs.co.uk the service they give is excellent and i reckon you picked the best retailer for your stuff in the UK.

The displays that Kustom PCs should have gotten is all 12V (or wide voltage) so if you connected the right power to the display, it should have been all OK... the Wide Voltage units have a voltage regulator on them, tha take the +12V and convert it to +5V in the end anyway...

I'm glad you think so highly of Kustom PCs, they are doing a fantastic job so far...

The LED i connected was some time ago and not to the LCD it was direct to a molex connector (yea i know dumb eh? )

So you misunderstood me and there's no probs with the MO Display
