Can a GPO be used to control a servo? This link shows how a servo is controlled.

http://www.epanorama.net/documents/motor/rcservos.html

It says that 1.5ms pulses set the servo to one end, and 2.0ms pulses set it to the other. Can a the GPO's be told to turn on/off that quickly/precisely to control the servo? Or would it be better to build a control circuit?

The fastest you could get a GPO to turn on and off is about 40mS... so not fast enough to do this, sorry...

No problem. I'm working on bribing an EE friend of mine to design the circuit I need. I need to be able to adjust the speed at which it moves, and the endpoints, so it's a bit more complex than I originally thought.

It is going to be controled off off a GPO, tho.

Thanks,
James
