External NK204-V

I've just order my nk204-v and i want to mount it externally, can i use the 5v from a usb cable or do i need to take 12v from a molex

Any ideas on other ways

if you:

1. by pass the voltage regulator
2. put +5V into the DB-9 connector

you will be able to power the LCD with +5V

Cheers for the quick response,

1) do i just bridge the voltage regulator with wire.

Do i get 5v from inside the case (molex)

if you are using power from the computer, why not just use 12V then? and yes, you can just bridge the voltage regulator.
