LCD2041 No Communication w/ Basic Stamp 2

I have been reading the posts and still have no communication to the LCD2041. It has not changed from the original MO Display. I had the Baud Rate problem and I have completed the removal of the 3 RS232 jumpers and have soldered the 2 TTL jumpers. Still nothing and am quite discouraged. Any help appreciated.
