HELP with model numbers & choice

Post by Aero-R »

Hello to everyone

I'm a new user on this, I just knew MATRIX ORBITAL from an old review and I felt that it's the best LCD bay for my computer on the market. Unfortunately on the site says that the USB products are no longer available..

It's not really a big problem since I could connect it through serial, but I've seen still some of the USB old ones being selling on some places, so I'm thinking about get a LCD of MATRIX ORBITAL (still with doubts of if USB or SERIAL).

But my special problem are the models, because on the site models are with reference of the LCDs that has been used into the bay (for example, what I need is the typical black bay with the 4 cursors at left and the three buttons at right, that just fits a 5'25" bay). But on the shops I see them as MX213, MX610, MX620... and I can't link those model numbers with the models I see on the matrix orbital site.

I'm a bit lost in all this. There's any list or place to know the difference between each model?. MATRIX ORBITAL has many great product so I don't know how to choice a model because I even can't difference all the ones I've seen and their model numbers.

So many thanks in advance !

Hi Aero-R,

To begin, I just want to assure you that our USB line has not been discontinued and that we are still producing many USB capable units. The -24 version of the USB line has been upgraded to the -25 line, and our packages have been moved around a little, but the ability to purchase a USB style display and put it in a PC case definitely still exists.

The model numbers you see from other sites, will be older package deals. These remain, although the names have changed. The MX descriptions should outline which display and bracket has been used to create the package, which you can use to look up the new name. In addition, our site contains images of all the units, so you should be able to find what you're looking for.

Please keep in mind that the site is currently undergoing a little remodeling, and just ask away if you are confused by anything.

Thanks,
~Troy
