How to "Edit and save settings"

Post by ganou »

It is normal before I use the default baud rate, including sending data and receiving data.

After I change the baud rate, the screen turns to be whole screen black block. later I try to "manual override". Every step finished according to the instruction, but last step-Edit and save settings-I don't know how to do. This time the communication is normal. It can send and receive data between PC and LCD module using uProject. Therefore, after I took off the jumper, and connect the keypad and goal board, the screen can not show correct data and keypad can not send data. Any one tells me how to do, I will very appreciate him/her.

After I read Jon's article "Changing the Baud Rate With uProject" in the forum, I operated to change the baud rate to original value-19200- according that article. The article sounds say what's mean of "Edit and save settings".

Now the situation is that:
1. I can use uproject's autodetect to check the baud rate, and it also shows that baud rate is 19200. But the red lights beside RX and TX do not flash during autodetect, and only blue light beside connection status flashed. I remember before malfunction they are flashing during autodetect. Right?

2. I can send text from uproject and show on LCD, but uproject can not receive data from keypad.

3. LCD can change brightness from operation on uproject.

4. Operation of "set cursor position" and "set cursor top left" did not work, and it will clear screen or move the place of original content on the screen.

5. If I operate "set cursor position" or "set cursor top left", then I can never send text, even regulation brightness. This time the screen look like after operation of "clear screen".

6. From my original development board, it can send data to PC's Hyper Terminal.

7. But from my development board, it can not send and receive data to and from LCD.

Therefore, I guess when I change the baud rate from my program, not uproject, before, it also destroyed the some data in EEPROM in Atmel 8535, those are useful relating to some operations, such as "set cursor position" and "set cursor top left".

Please help me analyze. Thanks.

Hello Ganou.

Thanks for your post.
Which display is it that you have? Can you please also give me your email address? I want to send you a .usf (uPriject) file to try.

Thanks,
