uploading fonts via I2C

Post by dodge55 »

Has anyone ever uploaded any of the fonts from the Download sections using I2C? I was trying to see if it was possible to do 'on the fly' uploads without using the Mogd software. The command structure is there, but since each font as a .MGF file and many .BMP files, I was wondering about the 'file size' and the mention of 'uploading the single file'. I assume these downloads were meant for the Mogd software, was wondering if (and if so, how) they can be converted for upload via I2C. Thanks.

Hi,

I have answered Sutton's question via email, but for those who are interested:
You will need to know how the bitmaps are translated to data that the module understands (this Section 5 of the GLK24064-25 manual). From there, you will be able to find out the size the whole font file.
Thanks to Sutton, we are currently working on trying out the upload of fonts/bitmaps via I2C.

Thanks,
