HELP - MX310 Goes Blank

Post by ru67phs63 »

Just installed an MX#310 - running with sample screens. Unit goes blank after approximately 37 minutes - virtual display still ok. With LCDC can send test messages - show on virtual unit only - and can locate.

If I unplug and plug back in the USB cable the cycle starts all over again.

Unistalled the unit and drivers, reinstalled with the same cycle of events.

Installed in a second machine without the temp probes, LED cable, or the LCDC software. The display was only showing the Matrix Orbital name and logo.
The results were the same.

Am running Win XP PRO SP 1. Any ideas??? - thanks - Marty

Sorry for the hassle, if you haven't done so already download uProject this will allow you to change the settings on your display. It is possible that the backlight timer has been set. In order to change this setting, open up uproject, and select com3. Then test the display to see if it is communicating by scrolling the brightness up and down.

If you can communicate, then go to the remember tab on the top, and click it. There will then be a "remember" button push the button then go back to the "main" tab. And at the top click the checkbox that says "Backlight on for" and then say "0" minutes.

This will illiminate any possibility that the backlight timer is causing you problems. Let me know your results, and I am quite sorry for the inconvenience.

I have the same problem with mine, though LCDC stops responding when my display blacks out. Will try this program now and report back...
