Hello all. I am seriously thinking of purching the MX5 series panel but I do have a question I have yet to find an answer to.
1. So.... Is it possible to control three 120mm 12v? fans through just one of the fan hubs on the MX5 unit? (thru a series of Y-splitters) I have a triple rad with three Panaflo 120mm fans that I would like to control simutaneously without having to select different fan "channels" or take up all the available hubs. I would also like to do this for case fans (front and rear).
2. Also, how low can it take fan speeds...down to off?
3. Finally, could this device control a variable H2O pump (18v).
Thank you in advance for you time,
Aaron
Multiple Fans per Channel?
Hi Aaron,
Thank you for posting on the forum.
You are able to control more fans simultaneously without selecting a different fan header by using the 3 pin y splitter found at http://www.matrixorbital.com/product_in ... an-cooling
You must still stay within the maximum power ratings on each header, which is 12V 1000mA (12W).
You will be able to take the fans down to fully off.
As stated above the output is 12V, so if your H20 pump can be operated at 12V, then you can use it. The 12V is not a variable voltage. We control the fans using PWM(Pulse width modulation).
If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post them.
Best Regards,
