MX 2xx Screen Freeze

Post by Silent Ted »

After the problems I had setting the PWM frequency I thought that I had got rid of all my problems with me MO, that is until yesterday. I have now been experiencing what I can only describe as a crash on the display. Whenever LCDC starts the display it will freeze on the first screen.

I have tried:
a) changing the start screen
b) reinstalling the usb drivers
c) reinstalling LCDC

The MX 2xx is powered by an unmodified floppy power cable and is also plugged into a spare USB slot. The unit is also running 4 fans (using a y splitter) and had been doing that fine for a week or so.

Does anyone have any ideas as to wtf is up?

Thanks for your help

Ted.

Hi,

Are you using an internal USB cable?

No, I have the external USB cable exiting a hole in the rear of my case and into one of the four USB headers on the rear I/O shield.

Try removing the drivers from the registry too. Then doing the reinstall again. The directions for removing the drivers from the registry is at http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1016.

Let me know if this works.

Tried that and still no joy :( Its odd. I can communicate with the display via the LCDC Configure/Test option but as soon as the display is properly started then it will freeze - often only half way through the transition for the first screen.
