i already messed with the contrast so it looks perfect when LCDC is running normally.. i ran the bootlogo program that came on the cd... could that have anything to do with it??? i deleted the file that i created with that and just changed the power on screen with LCDC.... i dont know.. i'm lost

When LCDC starts up, it sets a default contrast setting. You may have to adjust your contrast llevel accordingly and save it. When LCDC loads after the contrast setting has been saved, the contrast will be correct. :)

No, when LCDC starts up, it will over ride the LCD contrast setting, so go into LCDC and check the contrast setting there, and lower or raise it.

Hi Select50, sounds like everything is working fine in LCDC. Therefore you need to run the "Bootloader" application to set the default power on values for yor screen, which also includes the backlight intensity/Contrast settings which sound wrong.
