How long do the displays on the mx series last if theyre run all the time? will they last longer if i turn the backlight off when im not using it?

From our electrical specifications the half life of the display is 100,000 hours. Please keep in mind this is 11 years of 24 hours a day, 7 days a week of operation. Being a electronic component, variables effect the longevity and life expectancy of any product. I can say we are very confident and stand by our product, thus giving a one year warranty.
