A quick question:

The MX series -- is this the only series that can funtion as a digitial baybus? That has pin-outs for the temperature probe?

Are there plans for a 4-line version in the near future?

Yes, the LK204-24-USB is very close to being complete. It will not initialy be part of a Kit, (LCDC, drivebay, cable...) but in the near future it will become a kit, the MX4. So in about 1-2 weeks you will be able to purchase the LK204-24-USB, and 2 months or so after that, the MX4.

will the 4 line version be able to fit a single 5.25 bay still or will it require 2 bays?

The 4 line version will still require both drive bays to be properly mounted. You can however modify your case so it will fit into one drive bay but you must be aware that it will need room above and below the single drive bay which virtually makes the other drive bay unuseable.
