BVK202A and strange blocks on boot up...

Post by lowly_tech »

I have the BVK202A and when I first turn the computer on I get a solid block on the top row far left. After about 5 sec. the next block will turn on.
It does this till about the 6 one and by this time windows is booted. (the blocks overwrite my boot message btw). Once everything loads plugin wise the display seems to operate normally. Once I quit the program and leave it idle in windows the display is just blank (normal). If I shut down and turn the power back on I get my boot message, but I get those blocks slowing overwriting my message. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jamie

Windows sends a lot of crap out the serial ports during booting - they think they are trying to detect hardware, but they suck of course so it's useless and annoying. Write Bill and tell him you have had enough of his useless port probing and ya ain't goinna take it no more!
