How to connect a LED to the Rx/Tx Pins

the topic says it all - i have made a picture and "build-in" my ideas of installing the leds - maybe one of them is the right one.

Two 3,6 Volt Led to RX /Tx. Where to put the resistances ?

I've two 3,6 Volt Led that i want to connect to Rx and Tx pins.
My question is: where do i put the resistances ? In what pins ? and if a value os 100 ohm is ok ?
