Problem with LK204-24-USB-WB and the LED Indicator BUS

Post by Bulls Eye »

I got my new lcd screen (LK204-24-USB-WB version 1.0) and the indicator bus to go with it, but when I tried to test it using the software from the forums here I encountered a problem. Everything else seems to work fine, but when I tried to test the leds, turning on GPO 1-4 does nothing, GPO 5 turns on the led labeled GPO 4 on the back of the pc board of the leds, GPO 6 turns on the led labeled GPO 5 on the board, and I can't get the LED labled GPO 6 to turn on normally.

The ribbon cable between the lcd board and the led board is connected exaclty as is shown on the picture in these forums. I was able to get all the leds to work using other power, so I know it isn't a problem with them. I tested them again with the testing software with the same results after this. Any suggestions?

Summary:

LK204-24-USB-WB version 1.0 and the LED Indicator BUS
Activating GPO 1-3 does nothing, as expected
Activating GPO 4 does nothing
Activating GPO 5 turns on the LED labled GPO 4
Activating GPO 6 turns on the LED labled GPO 5
No way found to turn on the LED labled GPO 6, although it does work

Thanks for your help.

Hello...

On the LK204-24-USB models:
GPO#1,2.3,4 are the advanced high powered GPO's,
GPO#5,6,7 are the low powered GPO's which are used for the LED Indicator.

Sorry for the confusion regarding this.

Ok, so if the testing software had an option to turn on GPO 7, then it would turn on the LED labled GPO 6. Thanks for the help.
