Question on the LK404-55

Post by benjaidafufukil »

Hi all,
I haven t bought the unit yet but I had a few questions regarding it:
- I plan on using it just to monitor my CPU, MB, watecooling (water, pump) temps...
- I don t want a keypad
- I want my info to switch from time to time between temps, email, status...
Can this unit do this with lcdc? It is important that it auto switches between the different functions on its own. If anyone knows something, feel free to answer.
Ben
PS: Sorry I m a total noob for this type of hardware and software.

Can't do it

Hi,

The LCD will not automatically monitor your stuff. You need to hook a microcontroller or CPU that will send data to the LCD. Your MCU or CPU will toggle an read the values.

good luck,

Hello...

If you don't require a keypad you may want to look at part #LCD4041...
http://www.matrixorbital.com/pages/prod ... roductID=3 The good news about this module is that there is a definition file for it in LCDC and it would be a breeze to make it do what you want!!! :D
