I learn my lesson the hardway!!!

Post by SeRi@lDiE »

Well I wanted to play around with LCDTester so I can upload some new fonts and make my own Startup Screen... Well been a n00b to the LCD area I thought to my self I should ask first before I do any thing and end up scewing up my LCd... But no I thought to my self I bother all ready to much the garte peepz at MO Forum and the peepz at LCDC! is time for me to learn on my own!.... So I download it installed executed and next thing you know its telling me some wierd error like "x32 is not the right version would you like to find the correct one?" or some thing around that line and I clicked no so the program loaded and took me to main menu I started looking around looking where do I upload fonts and make my own boot up greetz..... So I couldnt find it and desided it to disconnect and exit the program and search for some info.... When I look to my lcd ic some wierd chracters in my screen so I desided to strat LCDC to see if they go away... your damn right they whent away!!! But next thing you know I see lines jumpiing up and down the lcd every time the LCD will display a plug in :jawdrop: !!!
I got scared! My heart started pumping fast and the first sthing that poped in to my brain was "What is MO's tel #" lol :P I calm down and I started trouble shooting from the ground up! I rebooted the computer strated the lcd and still no go! I turned off the computer unplug the MX212 fro the USB port and plugit back in... turn on the computer back on.. started lcdc and BAM! It started working perfectly fine again! So here I am telling YOU that If you dont know what you are playing with you are better off asking for help than doing it your self!
LESSON LEARND!!! :D
