Number of GPO's on MX221...

Post by thedogcow »

Hi there... I'm wondering how many GPOs there are on the MX221 LCD? I'm getting conflicting information everywhere i look. www.pccasegear.com says six, three high, three low. A review I read today (MX212) says four fan controllers, three high and five low. And finally, your site specifies only three!!! Anyone got the definitive on this please??? Help!

OK, found the review site that i quoted above: http://www.modthebox.com/review224_2.shtml

I would trust the manufacturer... I have informed www.modthebox.com of the error and I'm sure they will fix it up ASAP.

Thats what I thought :D Any idea why pccasegear says different? To me that sound like the previous model! Just a question... Can the ports for the LED accessory be used as low power GPO's? Would that make three high and three low then? Thankyou for clearing this up for me!

All of the manuals I have seen are for the outdated modules... Not the MX. This includes the user PDF that was shipped with my MX212 on the software CD (BTW that CD size does not work if your CD drive is vertical!).

This is really confusing and the only reliable source of information I have found is guesswork and through using LCDC. My guess is that the sites reviewing this product, including MODTHEBOX, are assuming the docs are up to date.

Henry do you have the definitive on this? I would really love to know exactly what sorta GPO's this model has before buying it... Would love there to be more than three! :P

yes, the new manual hasn't been finished, I didn't expect anyone to look at it to be honest :) and the CD is the size because of the box it goes into...

OK, GPOS

3 HIGH POWER
3 LOW POWER

3 HIGH POWER: can be either 12V(default) or 5V, at 12V the max current draw is 1000mA

3 LOW POWER: there are current limited to 20mA at 5V
