Blinking cursor during boot

Post by Elvito »

Hi

I have recently acquired an LK204-25 WB, but i have a little practical problem with it...

Every time i boot my system, the lcd shows a block cursor until windows and LCDC is fully loaded. After that LCDC triggers an event that issues the command to turn it off (too late).

Is there any way to turn this off??
I don't need a splash screen, i just want that blinking cursor away during boot.

Thx

Hello...

Currently the LK204-25-WB has the blinking cursor set as default. I'm afraid the only way to shut the cursor off is by sending the "cursor off" command by software. The cursor is there to show that the unit is alive and well.

Blinking cursor during boot

Post by CTMacGyver »

Miles,

I have been ordering quite a few of these and plan to order more (50-100 over the next year). Can the default be changed without having to wait for software to change it after the system boots? Will setting a boot screen do away with the blinking cursor?

Thanks!

Hello Jim,

If you order them in batches like 20-50 at one time then we can do this no problem. We will be updating the LK204-25 in the future as well to bring it up to speed with our other units, but it's not planned for a few months minimum as we are getting ready to role out the VK202-24-USB, LK204-24-USB and VK204-24-USB.

All you have to do is contact sales (Bernie berniew@matrixorbital.ca ) and she will assign a custom number to you and help you out with anything else.
