20x2 LCD with IR or RF Remote

When I decided to under take the task of putting a LCD in my case I was dissapointed that a prefab one would not work for me seeing that I had no free bay slots. Instead I looks like I'm going to have to use the empty space on the one slot.

I figured this would be a good place to start. Some of my questions are...
What do I need to do this project (both LCD and IR or RF Remote)?
Where else can I go for support?
Is there such a thing as being addicited to case modding?

There's an IR plugin to LCDC (the premier LCD control software). I'd say it works pretty well, although I haven't used it myself. You may have to build a small receiver or buy one premade.
