Ok from day one I received this unit, I thought it was strange that the LCD would look purple when it was advertised as being inverse blue. I have fooled around with contrast and other settings but with no luck. from different angles, like when I have my computer on the ground and I am looking down from the chair it is blue, but from eye level or below looking up, or viewing from either left or right side, the LCD is clearly purple. It does not match my computers color scheme, which is blue.
I thought maybe this is normal, but the more pictures of this unit I see online the more blue color i see and no purple. Even the picture on this website indicates its blue. Why is mine purple? and what can matrix orbital do about it ? I have tried every setting possible, its staying at purple no matter what. is this normal?
also, the 4 backlights on the sides of the LCD screen, i can see purple light at eye level, but if i am looking down from a higher level, the 2 lights on each sides of the LCD look blue...... so basically I dont know what the F#@! is going on here and I am confused and kinda pissed off..... didnt spend 100 bucks to be confused as to whether my unit is supposed to be purple or blue. I am confused here someone please respond and help me. thank you
Why does my inverse blue MX212 look purple??!?!?

It's a FEATURE!
Can I have it?
I've got a "Black and Purple" theme going with my current case, but had to settle for a red LCD, 'cos I'm avoiding blue.

I am very happy to hear that you guys are more than willing to RMA my unit. Thank you.
i am very happy with my LCD, and I do believe that its the highest quality LCD u can buy for a computer. I am just confused right now if this purple thing is normal or a mechcanical issue (defect) on my LCD.... i dont want to end up sending this in for a replacement and end up getting the exact same issue back with another unit.... and then to learn that the purple color thing is normal on all inverse blue LCDs.
are the inverse blue LCDS supposed to look blue from all directions? is mine the only one screwy here wit hthe purple tint or is this normal ? Thank you.

Hello,
The inverse blue display sometimes does look a little purple to some people and others it looks very blue. To all of us here, it's blue but I have heard otherwise as well. One important factor in the colour is the light in the room where the display is and the angle you look at it from. You can try turning down the brightness of the display and see if that helps. You can e-mail me a picture ( myero@matrixorbital.com ) if you really thinks it's bad and I could arrange an exchange.

theres a slight problem.... i sent the email but it said messages from hotmail cannot be accepted. i guess its because its a free account.
i tried adjusting the brightness, contrast, everything... still purple all around.... the letter "blocks" used to be purple till i adjusted the contrast (when i first got the unit i did this, and this is normal), but the area surrounding it is still very much blue....
i can try to take a picture but its gonna take some time, i dont have a digital camera so i need to acquire one.
thank you for the help, and if you need to contact me please send an email, i will reply through this forums for now since i have no way of sending email to matrix since messages from hotmail cant be received.
