Hi everyone. Hope Henry or any other knowledgeable person can help me here.
I want to make (rather have a shop make) a cable to connect the LK202-24-USB alternative usb header to my motherboards usb header. I'm not even sure how to discribe what I need to someone or what the cable would be called.
I'm using an Asus A7V266-E w/ VIA KT266A Chipset
There are 2 USB headers I believe:
1 USB Power
- USBP2-
- USBP2+
- GND
5 NC
AND
6 USB Power
- USBP3-
- USBP3+
- GND
10 <blank>
According to the Manual for the LK202-24-USB
the pins are:
1 +5v
2 D-
3 D+
4 Not Used
5 Ground
What exactly do I need to tell the person making the cable? Or what do I need to connect - aka, which pings from my mobo to which on the LK202
I assume its pin 1 on mobo to pin 1 on LK202, pin2 to pin2, etc?
Or is it more like USB Power to +5v, USBP2- to D-, USBP2+ to D+, NC to Not Used, and GND to Ground?
Also, do the specific connectors and wires themselves matter (aka, will I need to tell the cable maker to use a specific type of connector or wire?) or does it only matter which pin ends up connected with which pin?
Thanks for any help guys!
