MO GLK12232 Text Squishing Problemo

Post by Ndtinker »

Ok, this has been driving me nuts..

Every once and awhile, my GLK will take all the letters on the screen and squish them back-to-back instead of having a little tiny space between them like they're supposed to.

This in turn utterly destroys the formatting of lines and such and looks quite nasty. Line 1 starts halfway down the screen, spills onto line 2 and line 2 is halfway between lines 2 and 3.. You get the idea.

I've tried it on 2 different computers and tried updating LCDC. I haven't figured out what causes it.

And like I said, it's not all the time, but just every once & awhile, most commonly after I restart the display for whatever reason.

I've tried pulling the power and resetting it, but that has no effect. I've also tried different fonts, but they all do the same. Another stumper is that if I do the "test display" thing in LCDC, it works perfectly! But as soon as I start LCDC again, all the text bunches back together. I also tried adding a "DSP->Clear Screen" to the 1st screen, which made no difference.

I hope someone can help me!

Hello...

I have seen this situation before and the problem was the display itself. A faulty display caused by a loose or bad connection, or even the display driver. You can email me at: myero@matrixorbital.com and we will talk about your RMA options.
