With regards to wiring up the GLK12232-25-SM Graphic lcd module. As I understand these work with a standard floppy power connector (5V:G:G:12V). When wiring up the serial interface am I correct in understanding that you only need the Transmit and Receive pins to pins 2 and 3 on the connector, or do you also need the ground pin hooked up. Does the 5V need to be hooked up as well?
1 on LCD--------Ground--------? on connector
2 on LCD--------Transmit------2 on connector
3 on LCD--------Receive-------3 on connector
4 on LCD--------5V
Does this look right?
Wiring up the GLK12232-25-SM
Hello...
When hooking up your serial connection you don't need the 5 Volts attached since you have your external floppy power to power the unit via the white connector. As how the pins are assigned, you are correct, however you must have a ground connected. The ground pin is pin 5 on the DB9.
