Post by SilmarilS »

I have a simple question....

Is the GPO on this unit (20mA) is enought to supply a single green To 3/4 LED... directly

Thanks

Here's an option: if you run LCDC, check out the parallel port plugin (LPT). It's effectively 8 GPOs for you to control from LCDC if you have a free port.

IF you don't run LCDC, you should.

It's start to sound good...

I run LCDC and have a free LPT port..... :)
my printer is networked on another computer

can you provide me a link or the way to convert the LPT connector into a module to use GPO's....(will be simple leds)
Or the LPT pinout

thanks

I build a led test module this way. http://www.angelfire.com/mb/lalim/images/parallel.htm although the control at the moment for the LPT stuff is not as good as the native GPOs stufff, but I need to do a bit more work on that plugin.

I was wondering if you could use the LPT port as a input one....
like using 4 ports to 4 buttons and the rest as 4 gpo's?

With most the MO screens offerinf 25 inputs it's not something I've ever looked at.

Well, he's just saying you'd need to code it yourself.

Examples abound on the web. The smart way would be to write an LCDC plugin, but that's assuming you can deal with Delphi.

Yeah I can code it my self but it will take light years to do so :(
