MatrixOrbital LK204-25PC GPO question

I have a couple of questions regarding the GPO's on the MO LK204-25PC unit. First is, how many fans can it control. i know there are 8 GPO's but i was reading and it said it could handle up to 4 fans. am i correct on this. my second question is whether or not the unit can control the fans at variable speeds. im not sure if mrhaz's program or any program can change the fans speeds variably or if the unit can support that function.

THere are 8 high power GPOs on the LK204-25-PC. No the GPOs are now PWM, but if you turn them on and off fast enough they can be slowed down...

I've got a question on what to use to connect to the GPOs.

I want to basically make a Fanbus type device that I can plug into the LCD and then plug the fans/lighs/whatever into it.

So my question is what to use to connect to the LCD GPOs?
I was checking out the Jameco site and came across these items:

I am assuming that I could use either of them and then use a ribbon cable to connect it to a header receptacle on the fanbus. I would then use either screw down terminals or other header-type connectors for the 8 devices I want to control.

So, would those header receptacles work?

Looks like they will work just fine. just make sure you break out the multi meter and double check that you have no shorts and that your polarity is correct.
