The displays are being used on 14 packing stations. As you can see from the picture I am using the display with a barcode reader. A computer serial port TX is connected to the display and the computer RX line is connected to the barcode reader. The computer receives the barcode information and can deliver feedback via the display. The display power supply is connect to the CTS line so that the computer can tell if the display is powered up. When it is powered up the computer display the welcome message.
