I've just spent two days wiring up a keypad and GPO's 3-8.
Only to find that 6,7 and 8 all come on when i press any key on my keypad.

Is there a fix for this problem?

Also it would have been nice if it was mentioned on the MO website, as I could have saved myself a considerable amount of time fiddlin about with all the pins on the GPO's.

:-(

I have the same problem with mine. I know that Henry has been working on the problem but it's apparently a bit tougher to resolve than he expected.

Hopefully they will get it resolved soon.

I emailed MO a week ago and have still had no response, I have also sent Henry a private message and had no reply.
A strange silence has descended. I think MO should try and be bit more honest before they get a bad name.
Especially as their products are generally excellent.

It's almost there... during the repair of the display, a new design was made with a couple of new features... Lets just say, variable brightness backlight... nuff said? Just doing final testin on the new board...

Wilbo456:
I recieved your e-mail 2 days ago. As well, you are awear of the problem from reading the forums, so anwsering your e-mail, 2 pms and questions through Mat would have been moot... The problem with GPO 7+8 is out in the open and we do not deny it, it's just 99% of the people do not use 7+ gpos at once.

We will exchange the old units with the New Upgraded ones free of charge when they are ready (this week or ealry next)

So if we already have a lk-204-25-PC we just send back the old one and you guys will send us the corrected version? Where can i find a readout on the updated fixes to this newer version?

The LK204-25-PC is fixed as far as we know, we just finished doing the final testing and it all looks good. We have also added some upgrades to it, most of which 95% of you will never use, but one is a variable brightness backlight

So for the people who have issues, we will do a straight swap. e-mail support@martrixorbital.com with the subest LK204-25-PC Update.

Ooooooo.. now im not really well rounded when it comes to electronics, but i know that at radioshack you can get dimmer switches.. with this variable brightness backlight.. could you theoretically hook up one of these dimmer switches somehow and be able to dim your backlight display???????????

No it's software controlled... however in theroy you could add a pot to the + side of the led and do the same (not as nice though and would void warranty!)

Don't simply click on Henry's link. It has a typo (an extra R). HeeHee. The contest winning banner was missing an R. Now we know where it went.
