All of the temperature sensors seen on the screen except CPU and Box comes from a piece of software i have developed called ThermoGamer. The program reads values from thermistors connected to the gameport and then calculates them into temperatures. The program can add custom sensors to Motherboard Monitor so you can put them on your LCD using LCDC or LCDstats or other similar software.

OTHER:A Digital temperature sensor, moisture sensor, 2 slave units, a storm keypad a solid state relay and a water pump were added to the control system.
These pictures demonstrate our moisture control system. The idea behind the project was to incrporate a moisture sensor that will inherently turn the water pump off and on at appropriate moisture levels and monitor temperature of a specific soil. What better way to interface the system then by using a Matrix Orbital display. Maintaining the system was a microchip PIC16C73 microcontroller. It received data from the digital temperature sensor and the moisture sensor while sending data out to the display and the pump as required. A solid state relay was used to control the pump via the microcontroller. When the pump needed to be activated the microcontroller sent a "high" signal to turn it on and vice versa to turn it off.
