5mm LED 2.5-3.0v

I have a VK204-25-v and would like to use the above tailed led on a GPO for email and possible other colors for other uses. Do I need to do anything else or can I just plug this led into a GPO and use the email software from LCDC? I guess I mean do I need any Resistors or is this the right voltage for my display to light the led? I have read manual but really dont understand anything about electric jargon. Thanks Butch

The module already has a limiting resistor so you can just go ahead and plug in the led.

THe GPO can provide ~20-25mA at +5V...
