I'm using a LK204-25 rev2.0. Using uProject, I cannot seem to communicate to the display without having the default jumper in place. If I remove the jumper and still try to communicate at 19.2, I just get odd characters on the screen.
So in summary...I can only communicate to the unit if I have the default jumper in place. Also, sometimes uProject will not return the version number (comes in as FF) and module type (displays as "").

I would recommend that after booting the display up with the jumper on, try setting the baud rate manually using uProject. Please see this thread on how to set the baud rate using uProject:
