the color of the PLED display (MX6)

Post by looking for a good equali »

he-hey!

I'll b recieving my MX6 + accessories in about 3-4 weeks :D (kustom pc needs to get home the parts I need)

I was wondering though - what color does the PLEDs have? ofc I've been looking at the MO-website and there they look greenish - but then I came across a review - and the MX6 they were testing looked more like neon yellow or somethin' : http://www.bigbruin.com/reviews05/matri ... ile=10.jpg

so I was thinking - does the color varie? - can it be set-up/changed in any way?

The color on the PLED's are yellow/green. Because PLED's are such a new technology this is the only stable color that is available to us. All of the other colors will not last very long at all before they begin to dim.

Just to add one more thing to this conversation, while all the pleds look same to the eye, every time you photograph it, it seems to be a different colour. It depends on the white balance of the camera, the lighting, and so many other factors. Overall I would rate is as a very hard display to get a photo that actually represents it.
