Downloaded bitmaps and/or fonts

Post by Jeroen Vonk »

Just a small question, is there a way to tell which bitmaps or fonts were downloaded to a graphic display?

Hi Jeroen,

At this point files on our graphic displays are not acompanied by a text description, only a file ID. The file ID is created when the file is transfered to the display, so the associated file name should be noted at that point and retained for reference.

By default there are two fonts on the graphic displays, 'Small Filled' and 'Futura Bk BT 16' and their file ID's are 0x01 and 0x02 respectively, with 'Small Filled' being the default font used.

Thank you for posting this question, I think this is a feature that we will have to look into adding to a filesystem update.

Hi Jon,

I know space on the modules is limited, but would it be an idea to just have one byte with an autoincrement each time a font or bitmap is uploaded to the module? (overload to 0 when 255 is reached) I know it's not the best solution, but at least you that something was uploaded....
