It would be possible to swap out for one of our parallel LCDs, however we use 16 pins to connect to our LCDs whereas there are only 8 on this one. This means that they are likely using 4 bit communication, and some of the data pins on ours won't be needed.
I have attached the pinout for connecting to our LCD, however you will need to know the pinout on the connector to ensure that they match up. You will also need to make sure that our display will fit in the required space.
You will want to look at page 13 of our manual to find this out. As well check page 11 out for the pin outs on our display.
It unfortunatly won't be as simple as easily swaping out the displays, however if you are up to the challenge and have the electrial knowledge to do it then go for it.
