hi
i have not bought a display. (but i will omg they look so leet) any way i had an idea. can i fix a volt meter (a 12v max meter) to the fan outlet and have it set if the cpu was at 100% usage. the outlet would put out 12v so the needle will be all the way over to one side. if the cpu what at 50% usage then the outlet would put out 6v so the needle will be half way. i would change the back paper so 12v was 100% cpu usage u know the rest.
so is this possible?
volt meter questions
Hi 2bigfan,
Thank you for posting at the forum.
You will be able to fix a volt meter on a fan header, but you will only read a 0 or 12V. There won't be any intermediate voltages like 6V. The fan speeds are varied by using pwm(pulse width modulation), which is switching the GPO on and off at a certain rate.
I have been looking for an event for CPU%, but I couldn't find it. However, you may be able to get this working if you ask Matt at the LCDC forums at http://forums.lcdc.cc/index.php?showforum=6 .
If you have anymore questions or concerns, please feel free to post.
Best Regards,
