The green and orange cables on the 4BR cable for the 12232 have ot be switched - MO might have forgotten to do it?
'tis the only thing I can think of... check the manual and make sure they're the right way round
Cheers,

You should install mogd first (from the cd) or
http://www.matrixorbital.com/download/mogd%20.zip if that can't conenct to the lcd then the 4BR cable might be the wired wrongly as I said earlier

make sure the software is set to the right comm port, and at 19.2K (unless you changed it)
and as far as the 4BR cables goes... as you get it will work, you do not need to change anything on it... only with the GLK12232-25 (the big guys you need to flip rx and tx)

try clicking on the 'wipe module file system button' in modg. Now go to fonts and upload the small font in position 1. Go to main and click on the 'current font' button and set font metric (with font 1 selected and not changing the font metric) - should work now...

ok...
1. power pluged in, any direstion screen comes on.
2. -4BR cable pluged in
3. serial cable pluged in to -4BR and Serial port
4. Turn on MOGD (making sure you have nothing else running that can use the comport, like Palm Software and so on)
5. Set the software to the right size and setting.
6. Turn the backlight on and off
