VK204-24-USB driver problems on osx?

I am having problem getting a recently purchased VK204-24-USB to work on osx.

the USB profile of the device is

Device VendorID/ProductID: 0x0403/0xFA04 (FTDI)
Device Version Number: 0x0400
Manufacturer String: 1 "Matrix Orbital"
Product String: 2 "LK/VK204-24-USB"

I seem to remember that the FTDI drivers are looking for

Device VendorID/ProductID: 0x0403/0x6001

unless I have something wrong? also I could not find/get to the dowload sections of the Matrix Obitals website to see if there was a custom driver?

did you guys change anything?

Hi vinthewrench,

Thanks for dropping by the forums. We do not have a USB driver for OSX, but FTDI does have support for it, here is a OSX Installation guide made by them...

The driver will have to be modified to include the displays PID, which is 0xFA04 in your case.

Since we have not done this, nor do we have a OSX computer at the office, we cannot test the driver. Let us know how it goes, we'll do our best to help you out.
