Another quick question on MX211

Ok, well, since i'm having infinite problems trying to sell my mx211 so I may buy a red/black version w/out overlay i would like to see how the LCD is designed.

Is it an EL or LED backlight? I'm guessing EL.
Theoretically I should be able to change the backlight to red, and then invert the display correct? Or am I looking at this completely wrong, and im going to fail.

Either way....I need a red/black one :| Maybe you guys would be so kind as to trade with me :P. Ive used it less then 2 days now.
