Fan Control GPO on LK202-24-USB under Linux

Post by roloff »

Dear forum,

i try to control some fans. This works fine but if i power up the computer.
First the fan starts spinning on a low speed. Than it stops.
If the usb-driver is loaded the startupscreen is displayed and the fan starts spinning
on full speed. (This is what i set with the Command Remember PWM [254 195 1 255]).

My questions. Is it posible to bring up the fan even if no usb driver is loaded.
so if the loading of the driver fails the fan will not run.

any idea ?

Thanks - I am a litle confused.
I received some more displays (other colors for testing) - and they worked fine.
Ok your post say there is a new firmware - So i had a look on the versions.
The NOT running have the version 0x20 32(dec) and the fine one reports 0x21 33(dec).
Also the blinking cursor problem is in the version 32 - so i use the MemUploader Util i found
here in the forum - but this will not change the firmware - am i right on this ?
Or will it install a fixed version 32 ?

Is there a flashutil to change the fw ? We have received 20 more displays these days and this looks like they have also the bugy version 32 (didn't test them all yes) . Sending back newly ordered LCD's sounds bad.
In a few weeks we will order 200 Displays - would be a mess if we had to send them back also.

Thanks

Dirk
