trouble with winamp plugin

Post by Elmo »

I bought a LK204-24-USB LCD, and it works great (Matix Orbital is awesome with shipping too) but when I tried to get the winamp plugin to work with the LCD, i get this error:

Could not open comport : port does not exist. Make sure the port is enabled in the BIOS and exists in Control Panel -> System -> Ports.

Every other program I have tried works with the LCD (Hypertermial, LCD tester, LCDC) except for the winamp plugin. Im running Winamp 2.9 on a Windows XP platform. Windows shows that the USB and VCOM drivers are working fine, but the Winamp plugin still wont see the display. Any thoughts/suggestions?

OK, i got it to work great with the track name, time, sample rate, and sound bars. but how can i get the tranc name to scroll? when i set it to "scroll when needed" in LCDC's screen builder the the text just becomes a blur along the top line :(

sorry for all the replies, but im experimenting with LCDC and finding out about it...

i found that the scroll is a blur because i had the FPS set at 25 for the sound bars. so, i was wondering if it is possible to have more than one active screen on the LCD at a time?

ok last post i promise... at least for a while

i found that on the scroll line you can set it to 1/8 the fps... so i did that and the scroll is now readable.
