Need help with Matrix Orbital LCD (2041?/Pics)

Post by neosen »

I got a Matrix Orbital LCD in a trade and I am at a point where I dont know what do try.

I have altered the power connection so it is applying 5v to the LCD, my problem is from here It displays two black bars on the screen (no backlight) and that is as far as I can get with it. I have installed LCDTester from Matrix Orbital and LcdStudio but the LCD will not do anything beyond the two bars. I purchased a new serial cable today (straight through) and I am still left with the same results.

Hello,

From the pictures you have supplied us, it is apparent that the module is modified for wide voltage use. This being said, you must apply between 7-15 Volts. For more information on how to modify your floppy power cable, please see your manual for instructions. If you are unsure, do not hesitate to post! :)
