LCD Tester program

Post by croc4 »

I tried out the LCD tester program on my LCD (GLK12232-25-WBL) and for the
model number it comes back as 0xff, when it is supposed to come up as 0x22, all the other functions work fine so I know that the comm port is connected correctly.

Also I am only connecting the rx,tx and Gnd lines, is this sufficient?

I'm just a little worried that since I'm having issues with the I2C portion of the Display (previuos thread) that maybe the LCD is flakey.....

Ok I did a search on the forums and found someone that had a similar issue with their 12232-25
had the rx / tx swapped. I double checked my cabling and it is ok, but I still only get 0xff back from for the display type. I see that it was called a HW bug back in 2002, but was this ever resolved?

The hardware bug has since been repaired, however you may have received a unit in which the change has not yet occurred. You are communicating fine with the unit, therefore everything is connected accordingly.
