Contrast ruins display when screen is "started"

Post by fewture »

I have a new MX212 with the new gpo control revision etc. Whenever I start up the display for the first time (like powering it up) from all angles including front on, its perfect. However when I start the screen (from something IVe done in screen builder or even the default one) the contrast goes very heavy so I can only see the words at extreme angles. If I look at directly I cant see anything, its all blurred etc.. heavy contrast etc.. I tried the display tuner and worked out it was the contrast.

Do I have to use the display tuner to manually override LCDC? The contrast value in LCDC is default ie 55. I also have a MX213 and it did the same thing. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

LCDC overrides any values set, the mx212 is an inverted display, becuae of this you have to invert the contrast, I'd suggest setting it to 35% and see what happens.
